Determining your hat size is quick and easy. All you need is some sort of tape measure or string that can be measured. You can also watch our video that shows how we measure hat size.
Place the tape around your head right above your ear. It should across your mid-forehead, 1/8" above your ear, completely circling your head, and taut.
Then use the chart below to find your 'Label' size. If you are in between sizes choose the next largest size.
Use this chart to determine your Hat Size. We use the fitted row for our products.

The Panama hat is a finely woven hat made out of toquilla palms on Ecuador’s Pacific coast. The finer the weave, the finer the hat. A hat that is considered to be of 'Ultrafino' grade contains at least 600 weaves per square inch and takes about 6 months to make. When the company was started in 2003 the first hat ever sold was an Ultrafino grade Panama Hat. The name Ultrafino had a certain feeling of excitement, uniqueness, and quality. We wanted all of our products to radiate the same feeling of owning an Ultrafino grade hat. And so began Ultrafino Panama Hats.
Ultrafino means ultra-fine in Spanish and it has become the raw definition of the company. Everything we do is aligned to the name. We strive to provide ultra-fine customer service while providing ultra-fine quality hats.

If I'm honest, it's different from what I expected. It's really solid, and that should be a good thing, right? I own two other hats, a Stetson Stratoliner and an old Borsalino fedora I found for a few bucks at the flea. Both are really light and delicate compared to the Brooklyn. I'll have to get used to that. It might be a great Winter hat. One minor problem I have is that your images show a gently turned down brim in front, but my hat has a very firmly turned up brim all the way around (isn't really my style of choice) and when I try to shape it into a down-turned brim, it really doesn't want to stay, but pops right up again. My other two hats are much more cooperative...easier to mold to my personality of the moment, if you know what I mean. So, I guess I have to say that I do like the hat, but can't say I'm in love with it, and I suppose we all want to "love" our purchases. Still, it seems to be a very solid, well made hat and I'm certain I'll get good use out of it. Thanks.
Love the hat, fits true to size comfortable and stylish. Can be worn with jeans or a suit. When I where it, I look like my father 50 years ago. He was one of the last to wear that style in Fall River MA.
The Brooklyn is a great hat for dress or casual. It’s getting me a lot of compliments and is very comfortable to wear. Service with Ultrafino was exceptional and the hats arrived early.
Enjoyed my shopping experience and found what I wanted.
FUI, I returned the hat, wish I hadn’t because of cost of return, but, I like the whole brim to be turned down and couldn’t seem to shape it like I wanted.
