Determining your hat size is quick and easy. All you need is some sort of tape measure or string that can be measured.
Place the tape around your head right above your ear. It should across your mid-forehead, 1/8" above your ear, completely circling your head, and taut.
Then use the chart below to find your 'Label' size. If you are in between sizes choose the next largest size.
Use this chart to determine your Hat Size. We use the fitted row for our products.

The Panama hat is a finely woven hat made out of toquilla palms on Ecuador’s Pacific coast. The finer the weave, the finer the hat. A hat that is considered to be of 'Ultrafino' grade contains at least 600 weaves per square inch and takes about 6 months to make. When the company was started in 2003 the first hat ever sold was an Ultrafino grade Panama Hat. The name Ultrafino had a certain feeling of excitement, uniqueness, and quality. We wanted all of our products to radiate the same feeling of owning an Ultrafino grade hat. And so began Ultrafino Panama Hats.
Ultrafino means ultra-fine in Spanish and it has become the raw definition of the company. Everything we do is aligned to the name. We strive to provide ultra-fine customer service while providing ultra-fine quality hats.
Our brimmed hats are shipped in a specialty shipping box designed to protect the crown and brim during transit. Note, we do not recommend this box for long term storage, rather consider purchasing our hatbox for proper storage.

In addition to being a conversation starter, my Carribean Optimo combines well with all my ensembles. Consequently, it has moved up in my hat rotation and is worn more frequently. In Texas Hill Country we still have several weeks of warm weather so Panama hats are still being worn. Ultrafino has hit a home run with this hat! It's comfortable with a flexible feel and like fine material, it has a "good hand.," yet there's no hint of losing it's shape. The white color blends easily with trousers and shirts and is a nice contrast to a navy blazer.
Peter Sellers wore a Carribean Optimo in the movie "Murder by Death" and I've wanted one ever since I saw that movie again a few weeks ago. Very pleased with this, my most recent purchase, from UF.
I have several Ultrafino hats and this is a handsome addition to my collection.
A very nice hat, I am very pleased just have to beware of smudge’s
Within a year I've purchased three hats from Ultrafino. I am greatly satisfied and when it comes to hat wearing I am at the top 2nd to none.
After searching months for a great straw hat, I kept coming back to your website. I was not disappointed. The quality of the straw and workmanship is outstanding. A wonderful Father’s Day Gift! I’ll not hesitate to order another hat soon.
Hat was better than expected. Light and tight weave. Size spot on. Very happy with our purchase.
This hat was a birthday gift for my husband. He loves it (and I do too)
