Our premium repellent is specifically designed for organic fibers and creates an invisible, durable protective barrier over your Panama hat that effectively repels any water.
HOW TO USE
1. Brush off and clean any dirt or dust on the hat.
2. Holding bottle upright, evenly spray entire hat from 6 to 8 away. Do not oversaturate.
3. Allow hat to dry for at least 24 hours. A second coating if you require a stronger repellent effect.
Determining your hat size is quick and easy. All you need is some sort of tape measure or string that can be measured.
Place the tape around your head right above your ear. It should across your mid-forehead, 1/8" above your ear, completely circling your head, and taut.
Then use the chart below to find your 'Label' size. If you are in between sizes choose the next largest size.
Use this chart to determine your Hat Size. We use the fitted row for our products.

The Panama hat is a finely woven hat made out of toquilla palms on Ecuador’s Pacific coast. The finer the weave, the finer the hat. A hat that is considered to be of 'Ultrafino' grade contains at least 600 weaves per square inch and takes about 6 months to make. When the company was started in 2003 the first hat ever sold was an Ultrafino grade Panama Hat. The name Ultrafino had a certain feeling of excitement, uniqueness, and quality. We wanted all of our products to radiate the same feeling of owning an Ultrafino grade hat. And so began Ultrafino Panama Hats.
Ultrafino means ultra-fine in Spanish and it has become the raw definition of the company. Everything we do is aligned to the name. We strive to provide ultra-fine customer service while providing ultra-fine quality hats.
Our brimmed hats are shipped in a specialty shipping box designed to protect the crown and brim during transit. Note, we do not recommend this box for long term storage, rather consider purchasing our hatbox for proper storage.

Wore my white straw hat for a week and it still looks good and clean
Easy to use and works as described. It’s important to ensure the hat is clean as the product seals the straw fibers. The softness and color is not effected.
I live in western Oregon, which has an average rainfall of 36 inches! I don’t purposely wear my Classic Panama hat in the rain, but I have gotten caught in some light rain and the water beads up on my hat. I gave it two light coats of water repellent spray when it was new. I highly recommend using it to protect your hat.
Really works just as advertised. Repels water and no residue. You want to spray in the garage or outside because of the strong paint smell. After it drys it has no smell
used on my hats and the water rolls right off
This is a great way to protect your hat. My order was shipped promptly and I am very satisfied with the product and the service.
