Determining your hat size is quick and easy. All you need is some sort of tape measure or string that can be measured.
Place the tape around your head right above your ear. It should across your mid-forehead, 1/8" above your ear, completely circling your head, and taut.
Then use the chart below to find your 'Label' size. If you are in between sizes choose the next largest size.
Use this chart to determine your Hat Size. We use the fitted row for our products.

The Panama hat is a finely woven hat made out of toquilla palms on Ecuador’s Pacific coast. The finer the weave, the finer the hat. A hat that is considered to be of 'Ultrafino' grade contains at least 600 weaves per square inch and takes about 6 months to make. When the company was started in 2003 the first hat ever sold was an Ultrafino grade Panama Hat. The name Ultrafino had a certain feeling of excitement, uniqueness, and quality. We wanted all of our products to radiate the same feeling of owning an Ultrafino grade hat. And so began Ultrafino Panama Hats.
Ultrafino means ultra-fine in Spanish and it has become the raw definition of the company. Everything we do is aligned to the name. We strive to provide ultra-fine customer service while providing ultra-fine quality hats.
Our brimmed hats are shipped in a specialty shipping box designed to protect the crown and brim during transit. Note, we do not recommend this box for long term storage, rather consider purchasing our hatbox for proper storage.

This is easily one of the best hats in my collection….
I've been going to Ultrafino for my headwear needs for a decade now. I first discovered them at Folklife Festival where I purchased my first Stetson. Over the next few years, I purchased numerous Panama hats. Now with Covid, Summer festivals are no more. Fortunately, their showroom in Lynnwood is open for business and easy to find. The folks at Ultrafino are pros who know their business and only sell quality merchandise. Their main concern is taking care of their customers. You will not be disappointed!
Have ordered and received 2 hatsfrom ultrafine, one for me and 1 for a friend in both cases was blown away with the fine craftmanship of the tight weave of the hats exceeding any Panama style hat that I have obtained before. The smoothness of the weave is incredible, and the finish work well done. Will be be ordering more hats in the future in different styles.
Fit and finish were excellent. Stiffener in the crown is unexpected but appreciated. I favor the lighter colors and this fits the bill. Ordering was simple and delivery came without a hitch. Slightly snug for a 6 5/8 but I have a large, 60.5 cm, head so an appointment with my Ultrafino hat stretcher will be in order.
I have several Panama hats form Ultrfino and I will continue to do business with them. They are first rate.
Upon receiving my hat, I assumed before hand it would be just a cheap hat because of the price, I was amazed the hat was lightweight, tightly woven, and seamless. What a great surprise thus very satisfied with my purchase. Thank you for providing such a great hat at a nominal price. Santiago Luna
This hat is very stylish and comfortable. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it.
